Hello, My Friends!

My name is Joshua Bradford. I am the Founder and Director of Project Simple Shelter as well as the Creator and Host of the "Hello, My Friends” online educational web series.

With "Hello, My Friends," we are bringing an educational tool to teachers and caregivers around the world in the form of a globe exploring web series to both entertain and engage their students. Our ultimate goal is to reach the children in developing and challenged communities; to connect with them and lift the veil of separation by showing these growing minds how accessible other people, cultures, and places are. We share with them how fascinating and inviting the world truly is.

"Hello, My Friends" is an educational web series provided at no cost to be used as:

An educational tool specifically designed for care workers and teachers as well as their students (from ages 5 to 50) in developing communities.
An informational tool for viewers interested in learning more about the world.
An inspirational tool, especially for young viewers, who may be feeling disconnected from the world or who may view the world as an uninviting and geographically unobtainable place.
An uplifting tool to remind the viewers that anything is possible and that they have the power to make anything happen.
An entertainment tool for those who seek a fun way to see the world from the comfort of their hometown.

The long-term goal of "Hello, My Friends" is to cover as many corners of the world as possible, including the home countries of many of the viewers. We want our young viewers to feel involved and be included in the episodes by showing the best parts of their culture to other children just like them around the world.  At the deepest level, the heart of this project is to plant seeds of wonder, inspiration, healing, identity, and culture.  They are sponges for information. They are hungry for answers.  They are eager to unleash their limitless potential.

Project Simple Shelter will visit many of the communities or schools where there is a concentrated viewership and do music-as-a-therapy workshops with the children and youth.  This will also involve them in the creation process of an episode. The goal is to make them feel like they have a voice that is heard around the world.

"Hello, My Friends" is a costly and labor-intensive endeavor. I would like to invite you to be a part of making this much needed educational web series happen, giving these children around the world a chance to share their stories and have their voices heard.  All donations received are crucial to the long-term development of both our education web series and music-as-a-therapy workshops.  If you would like more information on how you can help, please visit us at www.patreon.com/projectsimpleshelter.

We must remember that this is about the children; how we can nurture them, what tools we can give them, how we can aid them in achieving greater things than previous generations. They are absolutely brilliant and have always been our greatest hope and our greatest resource. We must all do our best to give them the love and support they deserve.
